We got the mushroom & Swiss and regular cheese burger with fries and gravy. The burgers were delicious

Highest rated components of small town burger joint: fresh flavorful meat, hand-seasoned handmade patties, cooked perfectly medium every time by chef who never takes eyes off grill, assembly by hand using perfectly placed condiments carefully spread by hand, all served quickly by attentive counter help. Add hand-cut fries, fresh actual milkshakes, unlimited napkins to clean up a river of juicy goodness = this is 5-star folks. Plus their menu is extensive, and from what we saw every local order, all must be exceptional.

Great food, quick service, great kids options. Full gluten free menu too! Mostly outdoor seating.

It definitely has that 50s diner drive in feel and I love going to places like this, there are 3 locations that I know of: St Ignace, Manistique & Sault St Marie, there might be more but I'm not too sure, I haven't eaten at the SSM and now the Manistique location. The food here is really good, I always get "The Big C" and forget how bad it ruins me the whole day, not because it's bad but because it's really fulfilling, a VERY delicious burger but you will be rooting more than a train in about an hour after eating it. I also had their Poutine Fries and those were very delicious, the gravy was very good. This location wasn't very packed and seemed to have locals here a lot which is a good thing and they had an outside patio are which was nice to be able to sit outside and eat while the weather was perfect. I definitely have to try the St Ignace location now so that way I can say I have been to all of the ones I know about.

Traveling through and saw this hidden gem! Fast, friendly, yummy and trying the gravy is a must!!! Burgers, fries and gravy what more could Someone ask for.

The food was great! We were in the area on vacation and a friend suggested we stop by....and I'm glad we did. Great burgers and milkshake!

Vintage drive-in with excellent food. We had the fries and onion rings with our cheeseburger and.grilled cheese Sammy. Fast friendly service as well.l A++

When you first pull in to Clyde's, you just know the experience is going to be fantastic. The fact that they've been in business since 1949 is the first clue that you are about to eat some killer grub. Clyde's did not disappoint! We elected to sit outside on the picnic tables (with umbrella) and quickly we were greeted by a smiling server asking us for our order. As the menu is expansive with all sorts of burgers, sandwiches, platters, and sides, I needed a bit more time to decide. I had read that the "Big C" burger was where the action was, so I ordered it, while my mom ordered a mushroom swiss burger with sweet potato fries. 10 minutes later, the food arrived with regular fries instead of the sweet potato fries. When we mentioned the issue, the server quickly brought out some sweet potato fries and let us keep the regular fries! The regular fries were outstanding, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sweet potato fries were OK, but couldn't compare to the regular fries. However, the star of the show was the "Big C" burger. This burger was 3/4 pounds of fresh ground beef in the form of 2 patties, served on top of a fresh bun, with at least 3 slices of American cheese. Just by looking at this monster, you knew that this was going to be one of the best burgers you had ever touched. It did not disappoint. The patties were juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to a perfect medium well doneness. The quality of the beef was impressive and was likely freshly ground on site. The beef to cheese ratio was perfect with each bite containing just the right amount of orange, salty, tangy goodness with each bite. This burger required no toppings of any sort; they would just distract from the masterpiece that it was. If your burger needs to rely on a sauce, or produce toppings, or bacon, then your burger isn't very good. This burger needed nothing besides the beef, cheese, and the bun. Best burger I've ever had...hands down. My mom's mushroom swiss burger was delicious as well, but couldn't compare to the "Big C". The restaurant is located next to a railroad spur to the local paper mill. We enjoyed watching the boxcars being shuttled in and out of the plant while we enjoyed our food. Can't say enough positive things about Clyde's!

Delicious burgers and a "drive in" experience from the past. Unbelievably large menu for a drive in. Not just burgers. And they really get to out fast. There are a few seats inside, but they have car hop and outdoor table service. Didn't love the shakes, pretty average. But burgers and French Fries with Gravy was really good.

We ordered a pasty and perch basket with sweet potato fries. We sat at one of the tables out front on a beautiful Friday afternoon. Our food came out quickly and we enjoyed it all. I don't usually enjoy cole slaw, but this one was great. Definitely a place to stop in the area!
